Even though I understand what’s she’s trying to say, I do not completely agree with her.
If she is not willing to make herself resemble the character she is portraying, even the slightest bit, I do not see a future for her as an actress.
I’m not saying that she should become the female version of Christian Bale, but it did not seem she really understood how for example Katniss was portrayed. While Katniss was muscular, she was also rather thin. But how Jennifer looked in THG did not really resemble the book version, and she was not willing to change, wich IMO was a bit disrespectful of her, even when she was handplucked from a group containing, what? 80-90 people or more?
There were a lot of people whom would willingly play Katniss and probably would change their body type into Katniss’s, without looking anorexic, and would make the role better fitting, whilst being an good role model (and honestly, if your kid is looking for a role model, hollywood is obviously NOT the right place to be looking for one).
And before you judge and think I’m a girl who only thinks about looks and hates fat people, think again - I’m not saying that little girls should want to become as thin as rakes because of her, but she should understand that no one was talking about setting an example for little girls but acting, and the sacrifices you sometimes have to make for a role. And if you’re not prepared to do that? Then think twice before choosing an acting career.
And writing “Academy Award Winner” isn’t going to make her statement more true guise ;)

movie katniss pissed me off with her fucking shapely body. fuck jennifer lawrence and her portrayal of katniss.

Wow, that’s a little harsh. I think Jennifer did the right thing, and I find it very respectable. I also have loads of respect for someone like Anne Hatheway, Hugh Jackman, and Matthew McConaughey for being so dedicated in losing the amount of weight they did. Jennifer was just standing by her beliefs in not wanting to lost weight because she is happy with the way she looks. If they really wanted someone to slim down more to play Katniss they would have found someone else!
Jennifer Lawrence is a beautiful women and deserves all the respect in the world, and she’s a great role model!

WAIT. It bothers you that she chose not to lose weight? What about all the other bullshit portrayals of characters Hollywood makes? There are PLENTY of colored characters that end up being white and plenty of curvy characters that end up being SUPER THIN. Get over yourself.

So while I was uninstalling my game…

I kept my saves but I didn’t keep my screenshots and basically lost my legacy. Womp. That’s alright, I guess. I’ll just try and continue from the second generation and hopefully, say as much as I can about my founder as I go.
